The City of Cleveland Community Relations Board, led by Asian Liaison Chia-Min Chen, hosted an Asian Heritage Day Celebration on May 28, 2014 in the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda. Over 60 Asian community groups and organizations participated. Chia-Min Chen called them up to the stage one at a time and each gave an elevator speech explaining their organization.

The groups are posted in alphabetical order.

Kerala Association of Ohio

The Kerala Association of Ohio (KAOH) is a non-profit cultural organization that brings together the Malayalee community of North Eastern Ohio. One of the major contributions of the Association has been to create awareness in those who are unfamiliar with the richness of language, literature, art, music, dance and culture of Kerala.

Knights of Rizal - Cleveland Chapter

The Order of the Knights of Rizal is a fraternal organization created to honor and uphold the ideals of Philippine national hero Jose Rizal. Established on December 30, 1911, the organization was granted a legislative charter by the President of the Philippines as a civic and patriotic organization on 14 June 1951.

The Korean Cultural Garden Project is an organization to create and manage a Korean Garden on the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. There is also a Korean Women Association of Northeastern Ohio, Korean American Association of Greater Cleveland and the Korean Catholic Ministry.

Muslim Association of Cleveland East

The mission of Muslim Association of Cleveland East (MACE) is to serve the religious and spiritual needs of the Muslims living in eastern suburbs of Cleveland. They plan to use the MACE Community Center for the purposes of: Mosque Place of worship for Muslims, Sunday school for children and a place where we come together to share ideas to help build a stronger community and social interaction.

North American Taiwanese Medical Association

North American Taiwanese Medical Association was founded in 1984. NATMA is a professional organization comprised of Taiwanese American physicians, dentists and allied health professionals. It now consists of 16 regional chapters and over 1,400 members across the United States. NATMA'S mission is to represent medical, dental and other health professionals of Taiwanese descent, and to promote educational and cultural exchange among its members and their communities.

Northeast Ohio Telugu Association

Northeast Ohio Telugu Association (NEOTA) promotes the Telugu culture and people. Telugu people are an ethnic group from India. The majority of them reside in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They speak the Telugu language, the most spoken South Indian (Dravidian) language, and the third most spoken language in India after Hindi and Bengali. http://www.neota.org.
