Slovenian Statehood Day 2012 Cleveland City Hall June 22, 2012
On June 25, 1991 Slovenia declared independence from Yugoslavia. To celebrate the 21 years of Slovenian Statehood, a special event was held in the Rotunda of Cleveland City Hall with dignitaries, music and food. Consul General of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Jure émauc and Mrs. Janja émauc hosted the event.
Nika émauc, daughter of the Consul General, served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.
Martina Jakomin sang the US National Anthem.
Then Slovenian Composer Professor Oto Vrhovnik played the Slovenian National Anthem on the saxophone.

After the formal ceremony, Slovenian composer and saxophonist Oto Vrhovnik entertained the crowd.

The gathering then enjoyed Slovenian food and wine as Mr Vrhovnik mingled in the crowd playing his saxophone.
