Based on the ABC hit show, Dancing with the Stars, the folks at Menorah Park put on their own show, aptly named Dancing with the Menorah Park Adult Day Center Stars! ClevelandSeniors.com joined Menorah Park staff members to serve as judges of this contest. There were categories ranging from "The Twist" to "Dancing Wheels" (for wheelchair dancing) to "The Chicken Dance" and even "Dancing Dudes" (for men) and "Dancing Divas" for the ladies! The first thing you notice when you enter the Day Center facility is the excitement and energy. Men and women both were limbering up and doing some last minute practice moves getting ready for the big contest.

The hardest part for the judges was trying to narrow the talent down to just one winner in each of the ten categories. As it was, The Twist had so many good dancers a tie was declared!The 50's rock and roll theme that decorated the room added to the festive mood. 20-25 people were on the dance floor for every number and many more swayed along in their seats.

Congratulations to Menorah Park Day Center for hosting this fun event and congratulations to all of the participants. Of course, special congratulations to all of the winners, we saw some amazing moves on that dance floor. We're hoping this becomes an annual event.
