Cleveland, OH - A record crowd of 45,018 attended the 6th annual Cleveland Asian Festival over the weekend of May 16 & 17, 2015.

Vi Huynh, Cleveland Asian Festival Co-Founder and Executive Committee member, said ""We would like to thank all the attendees, volunteers and sponsors of the sixth annual Cleveland Asian Festival for another incredible year! We'll build on this momentum to elevate upcoming festivals, increase collaboration in the Asian Community and support future development in AsiaTown."

Attendees were entertained by two stages of performers ranging from traditional Asian cultural dances to martial arts demonstrations. They enjoyed foods from two dozen Asian restaurants and shopped in the world marketplace.

Many took advantage of the free health screenings from Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Asian Services in Action, and Cleveland Department of Public Health.

Youngsters enjoyed the Kids Pavilion and everyone had fun with the Sumo Wrestling suits.

Highlights of the 2015 Cleveland Asian festival included two performances by the headline act, the Mona Khan Company from San Francisco, who demonstrated why their Bollywood routines were chosen for America's Got Talent, Season 5.

The crowds flocked to see Jeopardy Champion Arthur Chu compete against teams in a trivia contest and hungry contestants compete in both sushi eating and egg roll eating contests.

With the 2nd annual Cosplay, the Asian Fashion Show and even a Dr. Who skit the 2015 Cleveland Asian Festival had something for everyone. No wonder it has been named Best Festival by Cleveland Hot List voters.

The record crowd of 45,018 spent about $3 million at the event and in the area and AsiaTown will see a long-term effect from this positive exposure.

Deborah Yue, Cleveland Asian Festival Executive Committee member said "One of the greatest strengths of our region is its diversity. We are thrilled to have the community embrace the Cleveland Asian Festival as we showcase AsiaTown and the diversity of the Asian culture. As a completely volunteer-driven event, it is very rewarding to see the Cleveland Asian Festival continue to grow and have a record breaking attendance. We are looking forward to seeing everyone next year."
