Scottish Games - Animals

Dogs, Horses, Birds and more animals
Ohio Scottish Games and Celtic Festival
Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds
June 22, 2024

The Ohio Scottish Games & Celtic Festival featured a variety of animals for people to see and get close to such as the Dandie Dinmont Terrier. Originally bred to go to ground, the Dandie Dinmont Terrier is a long, low-stationed working terrier with a curved outline. The distinctive head with silken topknot is large but in proportion to the size of the dog.

The Dandie Dinmont Terrier almost went extinct. Did you know that there are more giant pandas in the world than Dandie Dinmont Terriers? The breed is still rare but they are coming back.

Did you know that the Dandie Dinmont Terrier is the only dog breed with its own tartan?
