Tony Abdulkarim honored
11th Annual Lebanon Day
Cleveland City Hall

The American Lebanese Community Council hosted the 11th annual Lebanon Day in Cleveland City Hall. They honored three notable members of their community including Tony Abdulkarim.

Tony Abdulkarim was introduced by his daughter Amanda.

Tony Abdulkarim was born and raised in Aramoon El Gharb Lebanon. He has been a member of the United Aramoon Society for over 40 years and served as president and vice president for over 25 years. The United Aramoon Society's purpose is to promote social, educational, spiritual and moral uplift among the people from Aramoon El Gharb Lebanon. They also create better understanding among the people from Aramoon, Lebanon and aid the needy and destitute Lebanese people originating from Aramoon, Lebanon and their descendants.

He is a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Cleveland and has served in their parish council as treasurer and president for over 15 years. Tony is a member of the American Lebanese Community Council and has served as treasurer since it was founded until now.

He is also a member of the Northern Ohio Lebanese American Association and served as a board member for many years. He has been a member of the Cleveland American Middle Eastern Organization (CAMEO) for over 35 years and has served on the board as second vice president and first vice president for over 12 years. Tony is always ready to help in any community club.
