The City of Solon held a Lunar New Year Celebration at the Solon Community Center on Saturday January 31, 2026. There was a variety of traditional performances, vendors and community groups.
The entertainment began with the Kwan Family Lion Dance.

The Yin Tang Blue River Dragon Dance group performed. The dragon dance is a vibrant traditional Chinese performance art in which a team of dancers manipulates a long, flexible dragon puppet—typically constructed from silk, bamboo, and colorful fabrics—to simulate the mythical creature's sinuous movements. Studio En Avant Academy of Dance offer students the chance to explore Chinese Classical Dance and Tibetan Folk Dance, the two styles they specialize in. They performed dance wearing the traditional long sleeves.

Members of the Silk Road Cultural Collective presented an Armor Heritage Showcase featuring historic armor and clothing from the Tang and Ming Dynasties.

The Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Culture Association (CCCCA) is a non-profit dedicated to promoting multi-cultural exchange, diversity and strengthening Sino-American cultural and business relations. The CCCCA Arts Troupe performed had several performances including music, dance, acrobatics and martial arts.
