St Philomena Catholic Church was established in 1902 at 13824 Euclid Avenue in East Cleveland, OH. On August 16, 1992 there was a celebration and Mass to celebrate 90 years. The main celebrant was Cleveland Bishop Anthony M. Pilla and he was joined by Bishop Edward Pevec and many other priests including Pastor Dennis Kleinweber, Fr. Bede Kotlinski, Fr. Jim O'Donnell and others. The video starts with some images of the grounds of the Parish and some pictures of former priests including Fr. Lang, Fr. Rocco, Fr. McCarthy and others. One of the images is the Norm Hanson Tree of Lights which was left undisturbed every Christmas season.
The Processional into the Mass was led by the Knights of Columbus and Legion of Mary and other groups before all the priests and bishops. After the Mass there are images at the reception with hundreds of parishioners and guests. A few images from the priests reception in the rectory as well. The final congratulations are from longtime parishioners Don Kopeckne and Al Rispoli. Watch.
Here are some photos from inside the Church (2025).
