St. Peter the Rock Media, AM 1260 The Rock, is an affiliate of EWTN which provides quality Catholic programming at no cost via a satellite feed that includes programming from multiple Catholic Radio sources such as EWTN, Vatican Radio, St. Joseph Radio, Ave Maria, Catholic Answers, and other Catholic media sources from around the world.
On May 9, 2025 over 300 people gathered at the Embassy Suites to celebrate AM1260 The Rock's 10th anniversary of Catholic broadcasting in Cleveland. The event began with a reception as the St. Cecilia Quartet performed.

The reception area had various displays and giveaways such as Rosaries, Prayer Books and more Catholic faith related items.

Founding Board Member Dick Russ served as the Emcee for the gala. Dick Russ Secretary of the Board of Directors of St. Peter the Rock Media - AM 1260 the Rock and a veteran of more than 50 years of experience in broadcast management, production, and performance.

He introduced Board president Jerry Monroe and then Fr. Doug Brown, AM 1260 The Rock Chaplain, for the invocation before dinner. During dinner, the Lyceum Schola Cantorum performed.

After dinner, Leo A. Burkardt was presented with the first Thomas N. Wenzel Award.

Board Member Bernadette Boguski introduced the first keynote speaker, Fr. Gerald Murray, J.C.D. Archdiocese of New York. Father Murray couldn't be there but he had an excellent excuse. he was called to the Vatican when Pope Francis passed away and was attending the conclave for the new Pope. He sent a video from Rome with his greetings and thoughts.
Then Dick Russ thanked the many priests and other clergy who were in attendance. He then introduced Fr. Thomas J Loya, STB, MA who is currently the pastor of Annunciation of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Parish in Homer Glen, IL. He is also the host of "Light of the East Radio" heard on EWTN Radio affiliates, Ave Maria Radio, and The Guadalupe Radio Network.

He is member of the Tabor Life Institute for the education and formation in the theology of the body and he is a conference speaker for TOBIA (Theology of the Body international Alliance. Fr. Loya writes a monthly column in the HOMER HORIZONS newspaper and he also writes a bi-monthly column for the HORIZONS newspaper for the Eparchy of Parma which is also carried in the Eastern Catholic Life newspaper for the Eparchy of Passaic. Fr. Loya is one of the founders of Eastern Christian Media and Orientale Lumen Television which are resources for information on the Eastern Catholic Churches.
