Larysa Petrivna Kosach-Kvitka (1871-1913) is better known by her pseudonym, Lesya Ukrainka. She was one of Ukraine's best-known poets and writers and the foremost woman writer in Ukrainian literature. Her statue was rededicated in a ceremony on One World Day 2011 in the Ukrainian Cultural Garden on its 50th anniversary and the 140th birthday of the poetess.
