Feria de Cleveland is an annual celebration bringing the vibrant energy of Spain's spring fairs to Cleveland. Hosted by Abrepaso Flamenco and the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, this family-friendly event featured live flamenco performances, dance competitions, authentic Spanish fashion, music, arts and crafts, and delicious food.
Flamenco is a cultural arts tradition that formed in southern Spain (Andalusia) in the 19th century from a mix of Spanish, Moorish, Sephardic Jewish, West & North African, and Latin American roots.
Rooted in community and cultural exchange, the Feria offers a joyful space to experience the rich traditions of Andalusia while connecting with Cleveland's diverse cultural landscape. There were regional dances of Andalusia (Sevilla, Huelva, Cádiz, y Graná) featuring Abrepaso Flamenco's Alice Blumenfeld and En Camino, their community performance group.

The performance included Alice Blumenfeld, Artistic & Executive Director and Founder as well as dancers Marcia La Romera and Christina and singers Francesca and Missy along with guitarists Jesse and Bruce.

Before this performance, Alice explained about the Spanish Feria. Watch.
Here is another Flamenco guitar, song and dance at Cleveland Feria. After this dance, Alice invited the audience on stage and taught them basic steps.
