Donation of Slovenian books Cleveland Slovenian Museum and Archives May 14, 2010
In a simple ceremony at the Slovenian Museum and Archives (SMA) the Rotary Club of Maribor Park, Slovenia donated over six thousand books in Slovenian!
The Rotary donated the books in an act of friendship and in an effort to promote the Slovenian language in the Cleveland area. There are more Slovenians in Cleveland than any other place in the world, with the exception of Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia.

Cleveland Public Library will house many of the books as they add to the collection of 4,000 Slovenian books they have on hand.
Senator George Voinovich was on hand to accept the gift and Councilman Mike Polensek was there with a proclamation from the City of Cleveland.
