Former Cleveland Plain Dealer Publisher Alex Machaskee was the driving force behind the creation of the Serbian Cultural Garden. He has also been instrumental in working toward the mission of the Cleveland Council of World Affairs.

On September 19, 2010 Mr. Machaskee was honored with a plaque and a tree planted in the Serbian Cultural Garden. Board Chair Steven Petras and Interim Director Richard Crepage represented the CCWA at the ceremony.

Congratulations Alex for this well-deserved honor.
