Cleveland Opera presents Polish Christmas St. Casimir Church Hall 8223 Sowinski Ave. Cleveland December 21, 2025
Members of the Cleveland Opera presented a Polish Christmas concert at St Casimir Church. The program featured the beloved Polish music of Chopin, Wieniawski, Moniuszko,
as well as Gaude Mater Polonia, Bogurodzica and Rota. It concluded with a selection of Polish carols with the artists leading a sing-along.

The artists for the performance were:
Dorota Sobieska – soprano, violin, mandolin
Sam Gross – tenor, tenor recorder, lute-guitar
Wanda Sobieska – violin, viola, rebec
Jacek Sobieski – piano, hurdy-gurdy
Here are a few of the Christmas Carols they sang. First is Bog sie rodzi, a carol about the birth of God. Then Wsrod nocnej ciszy - In the Silence of the Night from the 18th century. The final carol was Gdy sie Chrystus rodzi - When Christ is Born from the first half of the 19th century. Watch.
