14th Annual Lebanon Day Celebrating the 82nd Independence of Lebanon Cleveland City Hall November 21, 2025
The American Lebanese Community Council is a 501(C)(3) non profit organization, created for all of Lebanese descent and their families regardless of their political affiliation or religion. This organization was created with the following objectives:
To preserve, enrich, and promote our Lebanese heritage and traditions through educational, cultural, and charitable activities
To establish and maintain the Lebanese Cultural Garden, at the Cleveland Cultural Garden Federation
To interact with local communities to increase public awareness of the Lebanese culture
To create understanding and unity among the Lebanese people and the community
They hosted the 14th annual Lebanon Day in Cleveland at an event in the Rotunda of Cleveland City Hall. All day the flag of Lebanon flew above Cleveland City Hall and was displayed in the Rotunda. The event also honored Mr. Fahim Gemayel and Dr. Nassib Fawaz.
The event began with a welcome from Mistress of Ceremonies Jessy Zbeidy.

Then the national anthem of the USA and Lebanon were sung.
Invocations were given by Deacon Mario Ghosn from St. Maron Church and Imam Ramez Islambouli from Case Western Reserve University.

Angela Shute-Woodson from the City of Cleveland spoke on behalf of Mayor Justin Bibb and presented a proclamation to Pierre Bejjani.

American Lebanese Community Council Chairman Pierre Bejjani introduced several people who had proclamations for the group and honorees. This included Ohio State Senator Nickie Antonio, Natalie Ronayne on behalf of Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronanye and representatives from US Senator John Husted and Congresswoman Shontel Brown.

Then the first award was presented to Fahim Gemayel from Lakeland Construction.

The other honoree, Dr. Nassib Fawaz, had travel issues overseas so several members of the Lebanese International Business Council came in from Detroit to accept on his behalf.
