Gerry Quinn Honored with the Icon of Audio Award Summer Place 12900 Lake Ave. Lakewood March 16, 2026
On the evening before St. Patrick's Day, a packed house at Summer Place in Lakewood gathered to celebrate as Gerry Quinn was honored with the Icon of Audio Award. Gerry has been on the radio for over 45 years and has earned numerous awards. He only agreed to accept this latest honor because of the two causes it would support - Awakening Angels and Cleveland Right to Life.

Summer Place is a beautiful venue and the big windows give a great view of Lake Erie but also messed with the lighting for the photos and videos. Sorry. WHK's Tim Vaughn introduced radio host Tom Kelly who, along with Gerry's son Kevin Quinn, presented the award to Gerry. Ambassador Ed Crawford was also honored and he gave a few remarks. Watch.

There was a lot of terrific entertainment including from members of the Lochaber Pipe Band performing while two of their young ladies dance on stage. Then there is a snippet of Danny Boy before a long drum solo. Watch.
