Finnish Cultural Garden One World Day August 24, 2025
The Cleveland Finnish community demonstrated their proud heritage at One World Day in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. One World Day has been the official event of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation since 1946. The Finnish community began the day by participating in the Parade of Flags.

They then welcomed visitors to the Finnish Garden and shared their culture.

Textiles was the theme of the 2025 One World Day. Linda from the Finnish Cultural Garden showed the bright patterns of Marimekko which is a Finnish company founded in Helsinki in 1951. She also showed rug weavings from Laplanders, delicate lace, wall hangings made on a loom and textiles featuring the Moomin children's characters. Watch the video.
