Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO) was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organization of physicians of Indian origin in Northern Ohio. With a membership of over 300 physicians who meet regularly for educational, charitable and social events, the organization provides an opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the local community and to make friendships that last.
AIPNO also provides service and aid to undeserved areas and disaster affected sites. The Medical YATRA Mission is to Educate, Prevent and Save Lives!
Ramesh Shah led a group of Indian physicians from AIPNO at a meeting of the Cleveland Rotary Club.
Before the main presentation, Ramesh Shah told of the Rotary Clubs in India and gave pins from there to Cleveland Rotary officers.
He was joined by Dr. Jaya Shah and Dr. Gita Gidwani.
In his presentation, Ramesh Shah told how the doctors make medical yatras and volunteer their time and talent to help the poorest of the poor.
They perform hundreds of cataract surgeries and other medical procedures.
He quoted Gandhi and said we must be the change we want in the world.
