National Association of Black Journalists African American Cultural Garden 890 Martin Luther King Drive - Cleveland August 9, 2025
The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) held their 50th anniversary Annual Convention & Career Fair in Cleveland, Ohio from August 6 - 10, 2025. Thousands came to Cleveland to network, learn and share.
In their travels was a visit to the African American Cultural Garden, one of about 40 heritage gardens in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens family.
They were welcomed by members of the African American Cultural Garden team as a drummer played.
Garden president Carl Ewing and his wife Lavita told a brief history of the Garden and plans for the future.

The group went to the top of the Garden to see the Doorway of No Return and the Infinity Fountain as Cleveland State University professor Prester Pickett quoted a Langston Hughes poem.
