Golf for the Garden African American Cultural Garden 890 Martin Luther King Drive - Cleveland July 19, 2025
The African American Cultural Garden in Cleveland Ohio hosted their first annual Golf for the Garden event on Saturday July 19, 2025.
AACG leaders such as Executive Director Obie Shelton and past-President Carl Ewing recognized the unique landscape of the garden which made it the perfect place for people to show off their short game - putting and pitching.

Keeping with the historical and educational components of the AACG, they paid tribute to Charlie Sifford.
In 2004 Sifford was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame along with Tom Kite, Marlene Streit and Isao Aoki. Gary Player made the induction speech.
