Western Reserve Historical Society International Heritage Gallery Update January 29, 2026
Despite the extreme cold, a large group of ethnic community leaders gathered at the Western Reserve Historical Society for an update on the International Heritage Gallery.

The Western Reserve Historical Society will host an International Heritage Gallery at the museum in Cleveland's University Circle neighborhood to feature a mosaic of various ethnic groups over time, their cultures and contributions to regional development and the unique events that have had particular importance to the development of Northeast Ohio, the United State and the world.
An update on the project was given on January 29, 2026 staring with welcoming remarks from IHG founder Alex Machaskee. The Gallery should be launched in Fall 2026.
Next, Chris Ronayne, Cuyahoga County Executive, spoke and announced that the County would be an anchor sponsor of $150,000 for the project.

Then Dennis Barrie, Project Manager spoke. Dennis mentioned that the Cleveland International Hall of Fame would be featured in the Gallery.
