Western Reserve Historical Society International Heritage Gallery Update June 16, 2026
A large group of ethnic community leaders gathered at the Western Reserve Historical Society for an update on the International Heritage Gallery.
The Western Reserve Historical Society will host an International Heritage Gallery at the museum in Cleveland's University Circle neighborhood to feature a mosaic of various ethnic groups over time, their cultures and contributions to regional development and the unique events that have had particular importance to the development of Northeast Ohio, the United State and the world.
An update on the project was given on June 16, 2026 staring with welcoming remarks from Western Reserve Historical Society President and CEO Kelly Falcone Hall

Next, IHG founder Alex Machaskee spoke. The biggest news is that the Gallery will launch on November 19, 2026 with a 3 day event.

Then Project Manager Dennis Barrie spoke and was joined by John Grabowski. They showed photos and previews of the Gallery.

Eric Rivet, WRHS Chief Curator gave some details as to how groups could donate or loan artifacts.

Alex Machaskee gave an example from his own collection - a Serbian gusle. The gusle is a one stringed instrument.

Dan Hanson gave some information on One World Day and then they took questions.
