The special guest speaker for the February 5 meeting of the Rotary Club of Cleveland was Sandra Morgan the recently elected Mayor of East Cleveland. Sandra Morgan was elected with an amazing 84% of the vote. She became the first woman elected to be mayor of East Cleveland in its long history.
The meeting began with a welcome and remarks from president Laura Gambrell. She thanked member Ingrida Bublys for securing her friend the Mayor for the meeting.

Former Rotary Club of Cleveland President and District Governor Beverly Ghent-Skrzynski presented a generous donation gift from the Rotary to Dan Hanson of ClevelandPeople.com in honor of his sister Debbie Hanson who passed away in 2025. Debbie was a driving force behind ClevelandPeople.com and she, Dan and their mother Pat were honored by the Rotary Club of Cleveland in 2013 with their International Service Award.

President Gambrell asked past-president Howard Lichtig to introduce Mayor Morgan.
