Cleveland American Middle East Organization (CAMEO) celebrated their 44th anniversary by recognizing 3 community leaders: Elinor Bourjaily (in Memoriam), Judge Ralph Perk Jr. and Judge Joseph J. Nahra.

Abby Mina, Past President of CAMEO, called up the daughter and son of the late Elinor Bourjaily who was honored at CAMEO's 44th anniversary event. Mrs. Bourjaily was honored for her community service and her daughter Anne Thomas spoke of her passion for teaching.

Seven Hills Mayor Richard Dell'Aquila also presented a proclamation in Mrs. Bourjaily's honor.

Abby Mina told the crowd a little know story about Khalil Gibran the Lebanese artist, poet, and writer chiefly known in the English-speaking world for his 1923 book The Prophet.

Abby Mina told the crowd how hummus was introduced to Cleveland by his friend Eddie Khoury in the 1960's when he opened a Lebanese restaurant.
